Timber Framers Guild
P.O. Box 60
Becket, MA  01223
Description: The Timber Framers Guild is dedicated to promoting the centuries-old craft of timber framing. The reason for its increasing popularity is clear: Timber framing is a building style that unites sound construction techniques with handsome materials to produce a natural, yet beautiful, result. Timber frames offer a feeling of strength, durability, and spaciousness. The Timber Framers Guild was born in 1984 as a nonprofit, educational organization. A core group met in their houses and workshops and called a charter conference in June 1985. Some two hundred enthusiastic people met in a spirit of discovery and fellowship that remains very much alive today. The Guild is dedicated to establishing training programs for dedicated timber framers, disseminating information about timber framing and timber frame building design, displaying the art of timber framing to the public, and generally serving as a center of timber framing information for the professional and general public alike.

Seacoast Mills, Inc.
136 Pine Rd.
Brentwood, NH  03833
Description: Seacoast Mills, Inc., has been a manufacturer of quality Eastern White Pine for restoration, renovation, and new construction since 1977. We are a modern sawmill tailoring our production to accommodate both large and small orders, from rough green center cut beams for framing, to kiln dried and planed boards for siding, flooring, wainscoting and paneling. Our lumber is first air dried for a minimum of 60 days, then kiln dried in low temperature dehumidification kilns to a moisture content of 10-12%. This process most closely resembles the way lumber was originally dried (all air dried), as opposed to high temperature steam kilns where the oils and resins are driven out of the wood. We can then plane the lumber into many patterns for siding, flooring and paneling as well as create custom patterns. Many grades, widths and thicknesses are available along with our beautiful Wide Pine. Our “Fine Seacoast Pine” has been part of many projects in nearly every state in the continental U.S., and can add warmth, character and value to your next project.
