Description: Van Noorden was stablished in 1873 as an iron shop. They will display samples and photgraphs of projects they have done which include, Yale, Princeton and Columbia University. They specialize in taking historically significant wrought iron, bronze or monel metals and reproducing or restoring to exactly as it was originally made. Every effot is made to be faithful to the process of hand forging the damaged, destroyed or missing elements that are to be duplicated. The art of hand forging solid metal is the blacksmithing and is fast becoming a lost art. It is the process they do which will achieve true historical accuracy.
